Welcome to IH Riga!

IH Riga is one of the oldest language schools in Latvia and has been affiliated with International House since 2003. We have been training teachers for over ten years now, running annual CELTA courses in the summer and offering in-service and local teacher training courses throughout the academic year. Not only do we teach English from ages 3 to 99, we also teach German, Spanish, Latvian, Russian, Italian and French.

The IH Riga academic management team consists of a DoS, ADoS and Senior teachers who are here to provide training and support to all our teachers. Our English and other language teachers work in a supportive environment with a large, well-resourced teacher’ room and library.

The academic year at IH Riga runs from September till the start of June. We normally start recruiting teachers for the new academic year in March. We also have a separate summer programme running June – August.
